Staff wishes to continue and retain the third-party administrator services for workers compensation and liability claims of Preferred Governmental Claims Solutions, Inc. for a period of three (3) years from September 18, 2026 through September 17, 2029 with two (2) additional, two-year renewal options, with renewals to be handled administratively. Claims management services is an area of expertise for which specialized training/education is required and therefore is considered professional services by the Town's Code Sec. 2-323(g). It is in the Town's best interest to execute a new contract for such services with Preferred Governmental Claims Solutions, Inc. in order to ensure continuity of services. | | Key Points: |
- Staff has negotiated a fixed annual flat fee of $121,200 for both Workers Compensation and Liability Claims services. This allows the Town to maintain consistent pricing and service. Claims frequency increase is not subject to additional pricing increases.
- A CPI increase may be applied each year but such price increases shall not exceed the All Urban Consumers Price Index.
- Subrogation fee remains 15% of recovery.
