This also includes emergency response measures and mass vaccination efforts.
The Town of Davie Fire Rescue Department applied for and received a 28-month grant which spans from May 2026 through August 2028 in the amount of $344,988 ($12,321 per month). Of the grant funding amount allocated for FY2026 (May 2026 through September 2026) Sunshine Nursing Care, PLLC, is being allocated approximately $32,911. From October 2026 through April 30, 2027, Sunshine Nursing Care, PLLC, will be allocated approximately $46,077.72. Over the grant period, Sunshine Nursing Care, PLLC, will provide community harm reduction services, linkage to care, and social support services for individuals involved in substance-related emergencies.
In order to satisfy the requirements for the grant, staff is requesting the Town Council to authorize an addendum to the agreement to reflect additional specified services related to a grant for the Post Overdose Co-Responder Program Model for EMS and to clarify the term of the Agreement. | | Key Points: |
