This resolution represents the third amendment to the Fiscal Year 2026 through 2035 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget (Exhibit A). The third amendment decreases the FY2026 CIP budget by $200,000 and increases the overall 10-year CIP budget for FY2026-2035 by $916,714.
This summary will review the FY2026-2035 CIP third amendment modifications:
Engineering Division – Modify four projects (ENG15, ENG21, ENG22, ENG23)
ENG15 - SW 76th Avenue Roadway Reclamation (modify)
This project will complete a reclamation of SW 76 Avenue from Stirling Road to Griffin Road. The project budget from Mobility Advancement Program (MAP), Penny for Transportation Surtax funds is reduced by $18,664.
ENG21 - SW 58th Avenue Roadway Reclamation (modify)
This project will complete a reclamation of a portion of SW 58 Avenue from Stirling Road to Griffin Road. The remaining portion of SW 58 Avenue has been completed as part of new development projects or Town capital projects. This amendment will add $115,311 of Mobility Advancement Program (MAP), Penny for Transportation Surtax funds and reduce the Capital Project Fund Reserves allocation by $100,000 for a total project increase of $15,311.
ENG22 - SW 70th Avenue Roadway Reclamation (modify)
This project will complete a reclamation of SW 70 Avenue from Stirling Road to Griffin Road. This amendment will move the project from FY2026 to FY2027, as Davie Utilities plans to make water and/or wastewater main replacements under the roadway this year. The Mobility Advancement Program (MAP), Penny for Transportation Surtax funds allocated to this project will be reallocated to other shovel-ready reclamation projects (SW 58 Avenue and SW 82 Avenue).
ENG23 – SW 82nd Avenue Roadway Reclamation (modify)
This project will complete a reclamation of SW 82 Avenue from Stirling Road to Griffin Road. Previously, the Town was planning on a reclamation of a portion of SW 82 Avenue; however, the SW 70 Avenue reclamation project is being moved to FY2027. Therefore, this amendment will budget a total of $1,231,865 ($1,046,865 from Mobility Advancement Program (MAP), Penny for Transportation Surtax funds and $185,000 from Capital Project Fund Reserves) to complete this project.
