Title of Agenda Item:BID SELECTION - A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF DAVIE, FLORIDA, RATIFYING,  APPROVING AND AWARDING ITB-GR-26-20 LAWN MAINTENANCE OF CRA PROPERTIES TO EDJ SERVICE LLC; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Executive Summary: 

The Town on behalf of the Town of Davie Community Redevelopment Agency solicited Bid ITB# GR-26-20 Lawn Maintenance of CRA Properties.

 

The Town received three (3) responses from the following perspective vendors:

·         Brightview Landscape Services, Inc. ($85,800.00)

·         EDJ Service LLC ($89,480.04)

·         Arazoza Brothers Corp. ($139,399.00)  

 

A local Davie vendor (EDJ Service LLC) had the opportunity to provide a Best and Final Offer (BAFO) because of the local vendor preference. EDJ Service LLC submitted a BAFO bid of $84,940.96 which is the lowest bid.

 

After review, the Town of Davie Community Redevelopment Agency wishes to accept the bid from the lowest, most responsive, responsible bidder:  EDJ Service LLC. at $84,940.96.

Key Points:

  • Approval of this item by the Town Council will ratify and approve the bid and awards ITB# GR-26-20 to EDJ Service LLC as the vendor to perform Lawn Maintenance of CRA Properties in the amount of $84,940.96 with a list of optional services which may be used as-needed at an additional cost.

  • The contract term is for three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional three (3) year periods.  Contract renewals, extensions, termination, and amendments/modifications will be handled administratively.
  • Cone of Silence.  Upon approval by the CRA Board of the Davie Community Redevelopment Agency, pursuant to Town Code Section No. 2-320, the Cone of Silence is hereby terminated.
  • The Town of Davie Community Redevelopment Agency hereby authorizes expenditure of funds over $65,000 per year in accordance with the awarded contract prices.  Funding will come from approved accounts, and within the established CRA budget.
