Title of Agenda Item:BID SELECTION - A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF DAVIE, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE BID AWARDED TO FLORIDA ENGINEERING AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, FOR INDEFINITE DELIVERY-INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT: PAVING ASPHALT/CONCRETE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Executive Summary: The Town is in need of an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract for paving asphalt/concrete services. Sourcewell conducted competitive bids and awarded Contract FL-R6-PAC-092524-FEDC to Florida Engineering and Development Corporation, for paving asphalt/concrete services. After review, the Town Council authorizes the Town to utilize the bid awarded by Sourcewell to Florida Engineering and Development Corporation, to provide an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity construction contract with a service type of paving asphalt/concrete. The estimated annual amount is over $65,000, and it will not exceed construction cost thresholds requiring mandatory public advertising of bids established within the Florida Statutes.

  • The initial contract term is effective through December 10, 2026, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods. Contract renewals, extensions, termination, and amendments/modifications will be handled administratively. 

  •  The Gordian Group, Inc. will be the facilitator and administrator for services provided by Florida Engineering and Development Corporation under this piggyback agreement.
