Title of Agenda Item:BID SELECTION - A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF DAVIE, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE BID AWARDED TO FLORIDA ENGINEERING AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, FOR INDEFINITE DELIVERY-INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT: GENERAL CONSTRUCTION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 
Executive Summary: The Town is in need of an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract: for general construction services. Sourcewell conducted competitive bids and awarded Contract FL-R6-GC-092524-FEDC to Florida Engineering and Development Corporation, for general construction services. After review, the Town Council authorizes the Town to utilize the bid awarded by Sourcewell to Florida Engineering and Development Corporation, to provide an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity construction contract with a service type of general construction. The estimated annual amount is over $65,000, and it will not exceed construction cost thresholds requiring mandatory public advertising of bids established within the Florida Statutes.

  • The Town Council of the Town of Davie does hereby approve the contract awarded to Florida Engineering and Development Corporation for an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity construction contract for general construction services through Sourcewell Contract FL-R6-GC-092524-FEDC.

  • The initial contract term is effective through December 10th, 2026, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods. Contract renewals, extensions, termination, and amendments/modifications will be handled administratively. 
  • The Gordian Group, Inc. will be the facilitator and administrator for services provided by Florida Engineering and Development Corporation under this piggyback agreement.
